Working with students has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I measure success in terms of our ability to build confidence in students and help them find their voice. To work with a student, watch them discover who they are and then see them craft a college list that reflects that insight, is to watch the real magic happen – their future changes! Right there in THAT very moment. – Namita Gupta – Knavigators’ Founder & College Consultant
Giving Back in Silicon Valley
For Namita, it is important that all determined students have the opportunity for higher education. In order to facilitate this in in under-served Bay Area communities, for many years, Namita volunteered as a College Coach at College Track. College Track is a non-profit organization created to empower students from these marginalized communities and help them apply, enter and graduate from college. “Our ten-year program removes the barriers that prevent students from earning their college degree by providing them with comprehensive academic support, leadership training, financial and college advising, and scholarships. We teach our students the skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond.” – From the College Track Website
Namita Gupta at Her Best
Namita has a particular ability to keep her students focused. Be it a specific task or important deadline, rather than become overwhelmed by the process, her students remain on point and focused upon the task at hand.
Because Namita is always available to students, they have peace of mind and are more relaxed throughout the college application process. While Namita provides tough critique, her positive and constructive approach helps students identify any areas of weaknesses and illuminate inherent strengths. Students come to realize they have many more assets and abilities than they may have otherwise believed.
Namita develops these strengths in her students. As a result, they are fully prepared for the application process and easily stand out in the applicant pool with strong admissions applications and compelling essays.
Namita’s one-on-one attention and ability to focus on who each student is as a person, leads to success. Because she understands the vision each student has for their life and takes the time to understand their personal values, Namita matches students to the best school based on far more than prestige. She creates a comprehensive picture of each student, sees the desired trajectory for their life in and beyond school and sets them squarely on a path to success.
